| Meet Tish Scargill Tish is the Director of Catechetical Ministries for the Diocese of Monterey, California. Over the last several years, Tish has inspired and mentored Parish Catechetical Leaders who share the vision of lifelong faith formation. For four years, Tish was the Coordinator of Religious Education of a small suburban parish, which included an annual multi-parish Vacation Bible School. She then went on to serve as DRE in a large multi-cultural parish for nine years. There she served in the ministries of children’s catechetics, youth ministry, adult formation, sacramental preparation, liturgy, and RCI. At the same time, she was the Religion and Liturgical Coordinator for the parish school. Having practical experience in parish life, Tish understands the challenges and frustrations associated with paradigm shifts. In January 2007, Tish and colleagues began a working relationship with a parish and two Catholic schools in Bootle, England. Tish and the Faith Formation team modeled an intergenerational gathering which has motivated the parish to offer regular intergenerational sessions for school families who were once disconnected from the parish. Tish graduated from LIMEX, Loyola New Orleans, with a focus in Religious Education. She offers workshops in Catechetical leadership and Confirmation team training. She can also support and coach your parish to start or sustain lifelong formation plans. She serves on the Representative Council for NCCL. |
