| Step Fourteen: Join forces with others who are also attempting to live in this way. Nothing is more important for most of us on a spiritual journey like this one than to connect with others. In learning to live more simply, for example, it helps to be with others who share the same goal. We learn from each other and support each other in our choices. In learning to make choices which result in a healthy environment and a more sustainable agriculture, knowing we are not alone helps a great deal! And likewise, when we make the decision to support the poor with our |
| our own money, other financial possibilities change for us. We have less because we are giving more away. So having support is a key part of success. In this step, we encourage you to form a small group or community with others who share this journey. At least, make sure you have friends and housemates who have common values and goals. Do this consciously, not accidentally. |
