For group use when teaching this step to others
Invite the members of your group to share however many of their
commitments they wish with the rest of the group. Always be conscious of
appropriateness in such sharing, so no one feels obliged to enter into
self-revelation with which they aren't comfortable.

Step Eleven: Write up some of
your commitments.

This step is where the real test begins
on this journey. On this step, we want
you to pause and look back over what
you've done so far. Then identify and
name "seven commitments" you will
make. These will mean changes in your
consumption, your own busy-ness, your
disconnection from the Earth and from
the Peoples of the World.

In identifying "seven commitments" we
suggest you limit yourself to seven. And
make each one specific. Don't make a
general resolution such as "I promise to
live more simply." Make your
commitments very real and concrete.
Once again, we are providing you with a Worksheet to help you focus this
step. Click
here to obtain it.

Take your time with this, maybe a morning or evening off from work and
other duties, almost like a retreat. Use the Listening Prayer method to be in
touch with your inner guide and conscience, with the voice of God
speaking in your depths. If you don't have it handy, you can download the
Listening Prayer
here.
On the Side...

As you make your various
commitments in this process,
be aware that you share this
journey with many others and
consider sharing your
commitments with them via
this web site. Simply
attached your worksheet to
an e-mail and send it
here.

The Eleventh Step
Pause.
Make some commitments.
Begin in prayer - to the right.
