I Want A Strong Curriculum
We want to implement faith formation
for every age and stage of life.
And we want it to be faithful to church teachings, practices, and customs!
Dear Parish Curriculum Developer,

Thank you for everything you offer your parish. It is very important in
preparing curriculum for youth, young adults, and adults of every age, that
whatever we do be completely faithful to the Church. Faith formation is not the
time to argue over Church teachings. It's not the time for a teacher to give his
or her
opinion about the Church. Rather, it's the time for us to explore
together the depth and beauty of Catholic thought, practice, and custom. It's a
time to integrate Catholic teachings into our lives, and learn to live more
faithfully.

As a key person responsible for this in your parish, we believe it is necessary
and good for you to be in harmony with your pastor. Don't try to work without
his full knowledge and consent. For purposes of planning adult faith formation
that is complete and systematic, we provide several free tools on this site. To
see them, click
here.

We know that many Catholics today simply are
no longer fully engaged
with their parishes. There are many reasons for that, but all of them point to a
huge need, which is for each parish to develop a pastoral plan which
  • Provides an avenue of return for those who want to but don't know how
  • Strengthens the remaining parish community so they'll have something to
    come home to
  • Offers ways for everyone to deepen their communion with Christ
  • Which has the effect of lighting a fire in the parish!
  • And this fire is what we know will
  • increase the number of parish volunteers
  • increase the weekend collections
  • make the parish a happier, more energetic place overall
  • insure that our children, youth, and young adults will see a lively parish and
be attracted to it for life
  • and most importantly, be more effective in announcing the Reign of God to a
world hurting from war, poverty, disease, and abuse.

So you see, it's no small thing we're doing! Every parish really does
need a plan to become more effective in providing lifelong learning. To help you,
this web site is loaded with
resources. First of all, if you're just getting started
as a parish, begin
here. For planning tools, click here. To see the library of
works giving the principles and practices of lifelong faith formation, click

If you are ready to train, inform, and share all this with the whole parish, click
here for PowerPoint presentations and other materials.

This is also the web site which supports
