End of the year
activities, leading into
summer.

Many parishes use this
session to finish and
complete the year.
Using this Planning Tool:

1. We recommend that you work with your team, using the FREE planning tools found on this web
site, to plan a full year in advance. Set the dates and schedule the spaces & equipment you will need
well ahead of time. Prepare your marketing materials to match the schedule.

2.
Use the children's textbook series in your parish as the basis for your planning. That text should be
one found to be in conformity with the
Catechism of the Catholic Church.

3. Build on that textbook series, adding one gathering for parents - and all adults in the parish - per
unit,
at the beginning of each unit. The purpose of this gathering is to help the parents and whole
parish know and support what the children are learning.

4. We advise you to seek a children's program which is built as
a spiral scope and sequence. For more
on this, see chapter 6 of
Dreams and Visions. Using a curriculum designed for lifelong faith formation
allows you to have a single theme across all parish groups while continuing to provide excellent
formation for the children.

5. For
ready-to-use adult or inter-generational faith gathering outlines, complete with PowerPoint
presentations if you want them, see the list of options offered on this site. Click
here to go there. Those
outlines also provide the "life activity" segment which is essential in your planning.

6. Those outlines are
based on using Growing Faith as the content resource for your gatherings. We
offer free correlations between
Growing Faith and a long list of other resources to help you with your
planning. To obtain a correlation, click
here to send us an e-mail and ask for what you want. It will be
sent directly to you. Here's a list of what's available. If you need something not on this list, let us know
and we'll try to help.
